For the second year running Julia’s Legacy of Hope teamed up with Barnes & Noble of Orland Park during the holiday season. Customers had their purchases wrapped by Julia’s Legacy of Hope Junior Board members and Mrs. Janes. More than that, they listened to Julia’s story and the story of pediatric cancer for all kids. Like last year, we found the customers to be very generous and kind, having learned about pediatric cancer for the first time.
The Junior Board did a great job on site encouraging people to get their gifts wrapped. Listening to Julia’s parents, they too learned about pediatric cancer, and the quest for a cure. A good time was had by all, busy shoppers got their gifts wrapped and everyone became more aware of kids and their battles for a cure.
